Description
Reports To: Principal

Senior Transportation Project Managers direct the management of large complex projects often covering multiple disciplines and staff for traffic studies, design and traffic information systems. Senior Project Managers also have defined billing, job start, and production responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Project quality control/ quality assurance.
  • Direct and manage the budgeting and execution of projects including the supervision of assigned staff and subcontractors.
  • Managing and nurturing existing client relationships and developing new client relationships.
  • Prepare technical analysis within a variety of specialist areas such as Geometric and Signal Design, Traffic Operations, ITS, Quality/Levels of Service Analysis and Travel Demand Modeling.
  • Support transportation and traffic engineers with roadway and other transportation design work for projects.
  • Prepare written summaries of analysis.
  • Prepare presentation materials and make presentations.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, proposals and contracts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education requirements must include a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Transportation Engineering and a recommended Masters Degree in a related field. The Masters Degree requirement may also be satisfied through additional professional experience.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.

Experience

  • More than 10 full years of experience.

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Must have strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
